Balfron Strathendrick U18's team progressed to the Scottish Schools Plate Quarter Finals after earlier wins against Lomond Helensburgh. From kick off, Balfron Endrick rushed into a 2 try lead and were ahead at half time. Moving into the second half,High School of Dundee began to click together and made a number of tries. The Balfron Endrick boys tackled hard and showed great bravery in contact. Dundee High School in the end ran out final winners 17-30.
Some context is worth mentioning here. The majority of the Endrick boys were S5 boys from last years U16 team. The majority of the Dundee boys were S6 in their last year of school. High School of Dundee is an independent school who dedicate significant resources to rugby including 6th form scholarships for sport. This is why thy have on 3 occasions successfully reached the Scottish Schools finals at both U16 and U18. The Stathendrick Balfron U18's should be extremely proud of their progress and achievements this season beating most of the teams they have played in the conference. Well done coaches for all your hard work!
